Symptoms of Melanoma
Spot an odd or new mole on your skin? Not sure where it came from or why it’s there? Only 1% of skin cancers are due to Melanoma. The risk of containing this grows as you age. Here are some signs and symptoms to look out for when you are wondering what that dark mark is.
If you see a new mark that is irregular, contact your dermatologist to schedule an appointment. The sooner, the better to make sure it isn’t this skin condition. This condition can be anywhere on your skin like your face or neck. For men it can show up on your chest or back, for women it can show up on your legs. Look for an irregular shape, boarder or uneven coloring. Below are some examples to look for, it can be hard to tell since they sometimes look exactly like a regular mole. But if you observe carefully to your skin, you can detect it early and treatment will be harmless.
